This past week my son graduated the 5th grade.

I know, 5th grade is seldom the grade you think of for a commencement ceremony. But none-the-less, there was a ceremony. It was a nice event, which had all hands on deck; a teacher even played pomp and circumstance for a bit to add to the flavor.

Freemason's have traditionally held this day, June 24th, as a celebrated feast day for John the Baptist for many years.
