Look Busy...
Just in case anyone was wondering, apparently there IS a Masonic Christ, or at least that’s what the makers of this DVD would want you to believe.
I almost hate wasting the link back to them, but It’s good to know the “kooky” things out there that like to blame the Freemasons for "everything".
Mozart, the Pope, and the evil tunes of the Freemasons
The Widow’s Son made some comments on this earlier today and I wanted to follow suit with some additional musing.
3Tangents - Masonic Flavor
I found myself on a tangent this morning. One of those days where you get an e-mail that piques your interest, where you follow it for a while, and then find a link to something else, related, but different that piques your interest more, and so on and so on...
1Rosslyn Chapel in the News again…
I ran across an article from Jennifer Emmick today on About.com . The original article comes from the Scotsman.com and talks about a new book buy Ashley Cowie called “The Rosslyn Matrix”.
Cowie starts out by saying what the chapel is not...
"It is not a copy of Solomon's or Herod's Temple.
Summer Reading
I just got home from a fabulous week on the shores of one of the oldest lakes in North America. Besides some swimming, boating and fishing (of which my son caught his first), I managed to get some reading done.
4Wearing What I Preach…
This in no way applies to anyone else but me.
As many of you are aware, I have added an apparel line to both of my sites at Masonic Traveler. The purpose was multi-faceted and successful in every way intended.
My primary reason for making it was to create some cool looking Masonic swag.
Cooties
This was posted in a list group and comes from a public communication, from the Grand Lodge of Montana. Make your own judgments, come to your own conclusions, but personally, I do not think girls have cooties, and we should consider living to our principals of equality.

Alchemy Returning to Modern Scholarship
“An Alchemist in his Workshop,” by David Teniers II
Alchemy, it seems, is making its way back into the modern day. A recent post from Jennifer Emick at About.com , spoke about how the news media reported on a recent conference of scientists and chemists held in Philadelphia.
Prospero's Books
A Blog not about Freemasonry, but by a Freemason. Interesting, I found this quite by accident, but enjoyed what he wrote. The post that drew me in was a brief mention of Chaos theory (and the book by James Gleick) and it's attenuation to the ancient mystery schools knowledge, including Freemasonry.
BibliOdyssey: Gnosis.
This is a great collection of images from a Gnosis site out of Poland.
I recommend when you have a chance to give it some time and absorb the images. So much of what went into Freemasonry today, the things we ponder and debate, evolved out of the reaches of Alchemy and the close of the renaissance.
New “King” on the block.
King Solomon’s Lodge blog isn’t new, but then it isn't exactly old either... Formed now under a new name and purpose, it has been around a while writing about different esoteric topics always from a mason’s perspective.
1Why lodges go Dark…
This summer, I can see why so many lodges go dark, even if just from personal experience. In recent weeks, I’ve read a variety of reasons from lack of air conditioning to summer farm work, to just simply busy schedules.
